1.0 FTE - Day Shifts

Starting pay (based on experience) - $53.48 - $66.84 / hour

Qualifications



  • Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Nursing required
  • Current Minnesota Nursing License, BSN, MSN preferred
  • Two or more years of nursing experience with management experience in a healthcare organization preferred
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • ACLS certification, if required for staff within an area of responsibility
  • Strong communication skills and leadership qualities


Job Responsibilities



  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff members.
  • Establishes effective working relationship with management team, medical staff, and organization's personnel.
  • Partners with department chairs to set departmental goals focusing on safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.
  • Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Applies evidence-based healthcare practices and nursing standards.
  • Prepares and manages budget. Eliminates redundancy and excessive costs.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Recruits staff and implements departmental orientation and training plan.
  • Schedules staff to maintain safe patient care standards while maintaining high levels of productivity.
  • Conducts annual performance evaluations.
  • Monitors and coordinates ongoing competency assessment and training for all staff.
  • Coordinates ongoing training of staff in compliance with DNV and other regulatory requirements.
  • Advises staff of changes in the healthcare environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
