Construction Manager - Fiber Deployment to Data Centers Location: Columbus, OH Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive, based on experience About the Role TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of fiber deployment to data centers, ensuring seamless collaboration with utility companies and vendors. Acting as an Owner's Representative, this role is critical in managing fiber infrastructure projects from underground networks to data centers, ensuring high standards in quality, cost, and schedule adherence. Responsibilities * Coordinate with utility companies to ensure proper fiber routing and infrastructure integration. * Manage vendors and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with utility regulations and industry standards. * Oversee fiber installation from underground networks to data centers. * Monitor progress, quality control, scheduling, and cost tracking for fiber deployment. * Identify and resolve issues affecting fiber pathway routing, permitting, and regulatory compliance. * Prepare and present detailed reports to project stakeholders. * Review and verify utility-related submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications. * Maintain professional communication with data center operators, utility providers, and engineering teams. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in fiber infrastructure deployment or utility construction. Strong ability to oversee fiber routing, permitting, and compliance with utility standards. Experience in vendor and utility company coordination, ensuring smooth execution. Proficiency in cost tracking, scheduling, and problem-solving. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred but optional: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
