Subject Matter Expert III

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS) seeks a Subcontractor who will conduct a comprehensive review of the SRNS Pit Production Operations and Programs (PPOP) and Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) existing self-assessment program. The objective is to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment of the program with Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Association (NNSA) best practices, DOE Orders, and organizational goals. It is anticipated the subcontractor will perform the following duties:

• Assess the current structure, methodology, and implementation of the current assessment framework.
• Identify strengths, gap areas, and opportunities for improvement in the process
• Evaluate the accuracy and reliability of risk identification, control evaluation and mechanisms.
• Benchmark current practices against self-assessment requirements at other plants/sites within the DOE/NNSA complex
• Provide actional recommendations to enhance program robustness, consistency and value to the organization.
