As a key member of the People Services Team, the Human Resources Generalist provides centralized HR Support across a wide range of functions. This position provides first-line support to employees and managers on HR policies, processes, and transactions. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency across HR service areas including employee relations, HRIS administration, benefits, leave management, onboarding/offboarding, regulatory compliance, and policy interpretation. As part of the People Services Team, this role collaborates with Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners, and other functional departments to deliver seamless and scalable HR services to the organization.

As part of the People Services team, the HR Generalist also contributes to special projects as assigned by the manager, which may include process design and improvement, procedure documentation, and other initiatives that enhance HR operations and service delivery.

The role will initially be 5 days per week on site and once fully trained, could possibly be 1 day remote per week.

Key Responsibilities (What you contribute)

  • Provide timely and accurate responses to employee and manager inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and systems

  • Manage, document, and respond to general employee relations concerns, including investigations, while supporting the consistent application of policies and procedures. Escalate and consult with HR Business Partners as needed on complex issues.

  • Serve as liaison for routine benefits, compensation, leave, systems, and training questions in partnership with the COEs.

  • Coordinate key onboarding and offboarding tasks in accordance with established procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and internal procedures. Maintain proper documentation and support audits related to required records.

  • Participate in special projects assigned by the manager, including the design and documentation of process improvements, creation or revision of procedures, planning and execution of events, development of metrics, and cross-functional HR initiatives to support operational goals.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR knowledgebase articles and FAQs to support employee self-service.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (You're good at)

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of HR generalist, shared services, or related experience.

  • Professional certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.

  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and case management tools

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience with process improvement or documentation initiatives is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues internally and partners externally to facilitate solutions.

Pay Range: $65,018 - $108,857 based on years of prior related experience
