Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Land Management

Location(s): Santa Clara, CA

Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst - Land Management will act as the SME and liaison for Land Management, Permitting, and Work Order systems. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, documentation, testing, training, user support, and coordinating with internal teams and vendors for enhancements and implementation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & System Management:


  • Gather and translate business requirements into functional specs, use cases, and process flows.
  • Support full SDLC efforts and ensure solution alignment with business goals.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Land Management applications.
  • Prepare and lead UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
  • Document business processes and training materials.
  • Support new product evaluation and profit/loss input.


Project & Vendor Coordination:

  • Lead or participate in mid-size to small project initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants for solution delivery.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of systems.
  • Manage work plans and mentor junior team members


Stakeholder Communication & Relationship Building

  • Serve as trusted IT advisor to business units.
  • Proactively communicate status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across departments.
  • Ensure effective documentation and reporting.


Qualifications


  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4-6 years of progressive business analysis experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Proven knowledge of SDLC and documentation standards.
  • Effective communicator and problem-solver.


Top Required Skills:


  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience with Vendor Management applications.
  • Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems.
  • Full lifecycle implementation of COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.


Nice-to-Have Skills:


  • Experience with Land Management/Permitting systems (e.g., Accela Civic Platform).
  • Familiarity with Work Order Management systems (e.g., Lucity).
  • Local government project experience.
