Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $93,900 - Midpoint: $126,800 (Salaried E14) Department/Organization: 504132 - Elevator Maintenance Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm; some nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Job Summary: The Manager of Elevator Maintenance leads, plans, schedules, manages, and oversees all activities associated with the daily requirements of the Elevator Maintenance Department. Creates and implements targets, objectives, and action plans. Evaluates the process and results to ensure goals/objectives/targets are achieved. Makes consistent and continuous improvement. Plans, schedules, and coordinates the expenditures of budgeted funds and makes purchases necessary for the department's operation. Analyzes equipment and systems and makes decisions regarding repair and/or replacement. Manages and directs activities associated with job assignments, hiring, training, evaluations, promotions, disciplinary actions, terminations, etc. of Elevator Maintenance Department employees. Oversees the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC) apprentice program. Develops and implements efficient, quality work standards of performance. Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and ten (10) years of elevator maintenance repair experience; OR associate's degree and eight (8) years of elevator maintenance repair experience; OR bachelor's degree and six (6) years of elevator maintenance repair experience; OR master's degree and four (4) years of elevator maintenance repair experience. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen. Skills and Knowledge: In-depth proficiency in technical matters concerning elevator operation and maintenance. In-depth knowledge of elevator codes. In-depth knowledge of safety codes and regulations. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively. Good computer skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products with the ability to effectively use these for purposes of managing personnel, budgets, inventories, purchasing, communicating, and reporting. Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot blueprints, drawings, manuals, maps, schematics, and plans and do material takeoffs. Excellent people skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to lift, handle, and maneuver the tools, materials, and supplies of the job. Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) years of experience in a maintenance managerial or supervisory role. Current Certified Elevator Technician Supervisor certification (CET-S) recognized by the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC). Current Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) certification recognized by the NAEC.
