HX5 is currently seeking a Hybrid Cloud Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and automate cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on hybrid cloud strategies.
- Capable of supporting program requirements through open-source scripting (Python, Java)
- Develop automation tools and scripts for provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure system reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex cloud-related technical issues.
- Recommend functional approaches for new applications and services.
- Provide input on enhancements to existing cloud products and features.
The successful candidate will:
Salary Information: This position is expected to pay $100,000 - $140,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
Education and Experience:
- Must have 5, or more, years of direct experience in cloud engineering
- Must have, or obtain within 60 days of hire, a current IAT Level II Certification (ie Security+)
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
Desired Requirements:
- Have experience with AWS GovCloud
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering
- Have experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Have experience with Azure.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain the required level of clearance.
- Must be able to travel, including air travel.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
