Short Intro and About the Job

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Quality Lab Technician based in Fort Worth!

As a Danone Quality Lab Tech, you will help support the manufacturing operations in implementing the Danone Quality Assurance system by executing lab testing for analytical, micro, and sensory data for both finished product and packaging materials.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

    You will operate and maintain analytical bench test equipment; e.g. Rheomat, pH meter, etc.
  • You will certify and execute micro plating; e.g. EB, Coliform, etc.
  • You will execute environmental testing; e.g. swabs, air testing, water testing, etc.
  • You will execute organization of culture received.
  • You will execute proficiency tests with a passing grade.
  • You will conduct Line Inspections/Clearances - e.g. Pre-op, Allergen Line Clearances, etc.
  • You will conduct ELISA testing for product validations.
  • You will conduct analysis and testing for products on hold.
  • You will support specialist with lab supply call outs and stocking.
  • You will support projects for audit compliance-e.g. glass audit, WISE audit
  • You will support and drive quality improvement in the lab.
  • You will help ensure compliance to Danone and Regulatory Quality Systems schemas; e.g. FSSC 22000, PrP, TDH/FDA, Danone Audits.
  • You will support Quality systems: e.g. the plant ISO and HACCP initiatives.
  • You will support development of quality SOPs and ensure QARs are followed up as it relates to materials.
  • You will perform analysis according to plan of control and document findings, analyze the trends and put together quality action plans.
  • You will train the operational teams when needed on quality related topics such as GMP, quick hits and also support the development of quality SOPs and OPL (one point lessons) and ensure that quality action reports are followed up.
  • You will support innovation/renovation plant trials related to materials.

About You

  • You will have a bachelor's degree in food science, Microbiology, or the equivalent is preferred.
  • You will have 1-3 years' experience in the dairy/food/beverage manufacturing industry, including supervisory experience.
  • You will have proven ability to establish, optimize and maintain world-class quality system and team.
  • You will have excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • You will have the ability to influence others and be a team player.
  • You will have the ability to develop/implement core work practices and standards that ensure excellence in quality.
  • You will have the ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complicated quality problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
