Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, the Manager of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Medical Records is responsible for utilizing agency resources to maximize revenue while maintaining full compliance with all federal and state regulations. The Manager of RCM and Medical Records is responsible for the interpretation of patient insurance coverage and regulations, with ability to apply statutory and regulatory requirements to complex factual situations.

In addition to Helio Health's comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign-On Incentive up to $1,500 or $4,000 depending upon professional licensure!

Pay: $75,000 - $84,000 per year.



Responsibilities

    Maintains the current knowledge of legislation, regulations and ruling relative to Insurances, including Medicaid programs.
  • Administers the Medicaid, 3rd Party Insurance and Managed Care Organization programs through the interpretation and implementation of regulations to ensure proper verification of information and collection of documentation, accurate assessment of need and aid eligibility, aid disbursements and preparation of fiscal reports.
  • Ensures that records are maintained and accessible in accordance with audit requirements and federal/state regulations; provides detail for response to audits and program reviews.
  • Lead the insurance collections process and coordinate with a 3rd party collection agency where appropriate.
  • Oversees the authorization of services with Insurance Providers and clinical staff.
  • Trains, supervises and evaluates personnel dealing with patient billing. Assigns work, taking into account requirements for the completion of assignments.
  • Ensures assessment of patient billing; sets measurable goals and plans for continuous improvement.
  • Completes special assignments as requested.
  • Direct supervision of Billing Specialists/Credentialing and Utilization Case Managers.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in finance, education, administration, or a combination of experience in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership and managerial role, including supervision of staff, and expertise in the design, development and administration of automated billing systems and electronic processing of patient account data.
  • Experience in coding and Medicaid billing strongly desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of Medicaid and Third-party claim procedures for both paper-based and electronic claims.
  • Associate degree Required.

Salary and hourly compensation ranges are provided in accordance with NYS law and are based on Helio Health's good faith belief of what is accurate at the time of posting. Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
