Summary

Summary:

The Director - Corporate Security & Protective Services position is responsible for the physical security of a portfolio of MaineHealth corporate & administrative buildings, data centers, research facilities, warehouses and other special purpose sites. In addition, this role is also responsible for executive protection, travel security, and special event security, applying leading practices for executive protection programs including site advances, protective intelligence planning, liaison with law enforcement and venue security; residential security; in-transit security; workplace security; and contingency planning. The position is armed (non-uniformed) and must serve as an immediate/short-term force protection resource when threat assessments resulting in a high level of concern do not meet the initial threshold for law enforcement involvement.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  2. License/Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license.
  3. Experience: Minimum 10+ years' management-level experience with program-level responsibility in security management and leading people. In addition, a minimum of 5 years' experience executive protection operations, including holistic/full spectrum planning in all five segments of an executive protection program.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Must be legally authorized and qualified to carry a firearm in the States of Maine and New Hampshire, and to maintain proficiency in weapons marksmanship, safe-handing, and effective use of force decision-making.
