ST. POSITION SUMMARY: As a Facilities Project Engineer, you'll lead high-impact capital projects and facility improvements that directly enhance production, safety, sustainability, and innovation at our St. Cloud and Crookston manufacturing plants. If you're a detail-oriented engineer who thrives in cross-functional environments and is passionate about continuous improvement, we want to hear from you! WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead and manage capital and facility improvement projects from design to execution
- Prepare and oversee project budgets, timelines, and implementation plans
- Develop Business cases and Return on Investment (ROI) analyses for new initiatives and improvements
- Maintain and update CAD layouts across manufacturing sites
- Specify and coordinate capital equipment installations, upgrades, and layout changes
- Support lease negotiations and real estate planning for North American Bus and Coach (NABC) facilities
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Planning, and Tool & Die teams
- Present updates to Facility Council and senior stakeholders
- Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and support make/buy strategic decisions
- Promote safe, clean and energy-efficient facility operations
- Embed continuous improvement into all aspects of facilities work
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering or a combination of related education and experience
- 2-5 years of experience managing capital or facilities projects (PMP certification a plus)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Oracle, and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Experience with lean manufacturing concepts and implementation
- Strong organizational and communication skills - confidence presenting to leadership
- Adaptability in fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environments
