Description

Position Summary:



  1. Coordinate office services for department, including personnel, budget preparation and control, housekeeping, records control and special management studies.
  2. Maintain data and records following General Motors Record Retention guidelines and requirements.
  3. Confidentiality and discretion of information is critical.
  4. Perform multiple functions from multiple resources while appropriately prioritizing assignments as needed.
  5. Makes recommendations on managerial methods in order to improve workflow, simplify reporting procedures or implement cost reductions.
  6. Maintains operating practices, such as recordkeeping systems, forms control, office layout, suggestion systems, personnel and budgetary requirements, and performance standards to create new systems or revise established procedures to maximize efficiency of operations.
  7. Coordinates collection and preparation of operating reports, such as time and attendance records, terminations, new hires, transfers, budget expenditures and statistical records of performance data.
  8. Prepares reports including conclusions and recommendations for solutions of administrative problems.
  9. Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision.
  10. Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
  11. Acting as department liaison with corporate offices.
  12. Applies the GRIT system.
  13. Carries out all duties in an honest ethical manner.
  14. Reports to Site Security Management.



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:



  1. Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent. Any deviations from the minimum educational requirement must meet the approval of General Motors Global Security.
  2. Two years of progressive responsible, related experience.



  1. Strong knowledge of office operations (payroll, billing, payables and receivables).
  2. Demonstrates excellent personal computer skills (Microsoft programs).
  3. Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision.
  4. Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
  5. Strong analytical skills needed to analyze complex data and develop reasonable analysis, appropriate conclusions and/ or innovative solutions.
  6. Demonstrates planning, organizational and project management skills.
  7. Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Strong managerial skills and the ability to assert oneself.
  9. Ability to act in a decisive manner in emergency situations.
  10. Ability to physically respond to all medical emergencies.
  11. Ability to assist in facilitating progressive change.
  12. Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  13. Ability to be an effective team member.
  14. Strong General Motors, quality and results orientated.
  15. Strong diplomacy skills and sensitivity protocol.
  16. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and utilize sound judgment.
  17. Working knowledge of card access, security and safety systems.
  18. Demonstrated excellent computer ability (Microsoft programs).
  19. Knowledge of multiple languages is beneficial but not required.
