The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - R job demonstrates a high level of expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of the complex responses of individuals, families, or communities to actual or potential health problems, prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. This role assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. The Nurse Practitioner - R job continues to perform many of the same interventions used in basic nursing practice. The difference in this practice relates to a greater depth and breadth of knowledge, a greater degree of synthesis of data, and complexity of skills and intervention. The APP will assess, diagnose, and implement advanced wound care treatments, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through interdisciplinary collaboration. The APP will provide patient care under defined departmental and state-approved scope of practice and under the supervision of attending physician(s). The level of supervision will be commensurate with the complexity of the patient's condition and as approved by the Board of Medicine. These protocols are acknowledged by the APP and all supervising physicians. Responsibilities:
