Loan Closer

Primary Purpose of the Job: The Loan Closer assists our closing attorneys, borrowers, banking partners and the SBA to gather documentation and meet closing deadlines for owner-occupied Commercial Real Estate Loans. The Loan Closer coordinates with these various parties to ensure a smooth closing process

Essential Duties:

1. Expedite loan closings by working with our Closing Attorneys, Title Agents and Insurance providers to compile required documents to match SBA Terms & Conditions (similar to a term sheet) in a timely manner
2. Co-ordinate receipt of all closing information with our closing attorneys.
3. Anticipate and resolve potential delays and communicate with all involved parties.
4. Ensure requests for changes are submitted to SBA in a timely fashion to account for internal and SBA processing times
5. Must be detail oriented in order to maintain accurate and complete company records.
6. Follow-up periodically with borrower and banker during renovation/construction period prior to 504 closing
7. Consult with BFGloan officers and credit analysts on credit related decisions that affect closing

At least 3-5 years prior experience in documenting Real Estate loans (commercial loan and or SBA experience preferred) with a bank or non-bank financial institution, preferably with expertise in SBA Loan Closings but training will be provided. Must be detail oriented, comfortable working directly with borrowers and bank partners, and able to simultaneously manage multiple loan files for closing.
