Minimum Qualifications |

Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, business computer systems, or similar
- At least two years of experience in a lead technical role with increasing responsibilities
- Expertise in data modeling, interpreting insights from datasets, and presenting narratives and visualizations.
- Proficiency in using Qlik Cloud or Qlik Sense Enterprise (including data architecture with load scripts), Power BI, Power Query, and Data Modeling within Power BI.
- Competence in analytical languages such as Python or their equivalents, along with a solid understanding of databases and SQL.
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse principles and familiarity with data modeling concepts and methodologies.
- Experience in managing a team and/or team projects to enhance performance and achieve both short-term and long-term goals.
- Keen attention to detail, strong data analysis skills, troubleshooting abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills, enabling professional and effective interactions with various individuals.

Position Summary |
The IT Senior Manager Data Analytics and Business Process Improvement, reporting to the IT Director, will deliver datasolutions supporting the Facilities Management Division at the University of Georgia. Responsibilities includecollaborating with stakeholders on data projects, maintaining dashboards and data models, managing data sources,establishing data governance, and leading data analytics initiatives. This role will provide insights for decision-makingand improve business processes. Initially, significant hands-on work is required to establish a data strategy foundation,with the goal of eventually building and leading a data team. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Expertise in data management and data governance
- Advanced knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools, especially for Qlik Cloud and Power BI
- Data analytics and data architecture concepts
- Experience with low-code/no-code software solutions i.e. SmartSheet, Microsoft Power Apps
- Experience writing SQL queries
- Experience connecting to web service APIs

Develop and Maintain Analytic Dashboards and Custom Data Models
- Design and produce required analytics and visualization deliverables using Qlik, Power BI, and other tools as required.
- Complete advanced analysis of large datasets to drive insights.
- Develop and apply business analytics resources that improve workflow, transparency, accountability, and performance.
- Design and develop advanced analytics projects and forecasting initiatives that will make the data easily and transparently available to support leadership to solve business problems.
- Preprocess and perform exploratory data analysis on structured and unstructured data.
- Utilize external data sources to augment internally managed information
- Define, build, use, and maintain predictive models to predict outcomes and behaviors.
- Ensure that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate.

Oversee FMD Business Analytics Strategy
- Coordinate with the IT Director and FMD leadership to develop and implement an enterprise analytics strategy.
- Collaborate with the IT Senior Manager for Apps and Data to maintain and enhance the organization's reporting and dashboarding platforms in Qlik Cloud.
- Oversee the creation of consistent dashboards and other user-friendly interactive analytics and reporting tools.
- Research and develop strategies for leveraging predictive analytics and AI within FMD.
- Create and maintain a data dictionary and metadata.
- Work with key stakeholders across FMD to provide data consultation, training on data analytics tools, and strategies to improve data literacy throughout the organization.

- Define, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows from disparate data sources to generate a comprehensive FMD data catalog.
- Ensure platform stability and performance by monitoring existing workflows and data pipelines.
- Perform end-to-end data validation to maintain accuracy of data sets.
- Assist with the creation and/or maintenance of a reliable and accurate Data Warehouse with an emphasis on scalability, data integrity, usability, and performance
