Description

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for assisting with a variety of administrative and operations tasks aligned with warehouse improvement initiatives.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Perform a series of administrative or operational tasks.
  • Communicate issues to manager in a timely manner.
  • Guarantees the customer receives a workable replacement part within standard time frame, one to three business days. Communicate delivery or quality issues to manager in a timely manner.
  • Management of inventory; entry into CRM, quarterly inventory counts, research and negotiate the cost and ordering of stock and non-stock parts, maintain shelving and organization, and documentation of all ordering records.
  • Process the ordering of parts and supplies upon approval of Manager.
  • Material handling and quality packaging of all outgoing customer packages, maintaining daily tracking of shipments.
  • Staging of equipment within the warehouse.
  • Answer and dispatch incoming warehouse calls from internal and external customers.
  • Escalation of customer complaints to ensure a differentiated level of customer satisfaction, prompt and courteous service and support at all times.
  • Adhere to Quality Management Procedures (QMI) and Work Instructions (WI) as set by the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Perform other duties as determined by management.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

WORKING CONDITIONS:



  • Work can be performed in a semi-quiet office setting and a noisy warehouse setting. Position involves computer and phone work.



OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE:



  • Work environment may involve exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.



QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Previous inventory or warehouse experience preferred but not necessary.



  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM. Valid Driver's license.
  • Completion and favorable results of Background Investigation, pre-employment Drug Screen, and physical with lift test.
  • Must complete safety related compliance training upon hire and annually thereafter.
