Description and Requirements

Position Summary

As a Global Account Manager for the Energy / Oil & Gas vertical, you will be responsible for driving strategic engagement, revenue growth, and long-term partnership with key global clients in the sector. This high-impact role requires a deep understanding of the industry's unique challenges and technology needs, coupled with strong relationship management and commercial acumen. You will serve as the primary interface between Lenovo and executive-level stakeholders across customer accounts, orchestrating cross-functional collaboration to deliver One Lenovo solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Leadership: Build and maintain strong executive relationships across global and regional levels within assigned Energy/Oil & Gas accounts.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Lead the creation and execution of multi-year account plans aligned to customer priorities, leveraging Lenovo's end-to-end portfolio (ISG, IDG, SSG).
  • Revenue and Profit Growth: Deliver quarterly and annual sales targets through proactive opportunity identification, solution selling, and effective deal management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Business groups, services, finance, operations, and geo teams to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Industry Expertise: Leverage deep understanding of Energy/Oil & Gas market dynamics, digital transformation trends, and regulatory drivers to shape customer-centric solutions.
  • Forecasting and Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate, up-to-date sales forecast and pipeline. Ensure data integrity within CRM systems.
  • Contract and Commercial Negotiation: Drive contract structuring and commercial negotiations that optimize customer value and Lenovo profitability.

  • Annual revenue attainment and growth vs. target
  • Customer satisfaction and retention
  • Penetration across Lenovo's product and services portfolio
  • Execution of strategic account plans and executive engagement
  • Forecast accuracy and pipeline coverage

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years of enterprise or global account sales experience, ideally with Fortune 1000 clients in the Energy / Oil & Gas industry
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in consultative, complex selling across hardware, software, and services
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience managing cross-regional teams and navigating global account governance
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant technical certifications a plus
  • Role is Houston based
Desired skills
  • Strong executive presence with ability to engage CIOs, CTOs, and business leaders
  • Deep industry knowledge, with a track record of driving digital transformation or modernization initiatives

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% across North America and globally as required for account coverage
