Overview Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Tax Associate. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to prepare individual, partnership and/or nonprofit tax returns under the supervision of an experienced tax manager.

What you will do You will learn, grow, and contribute - building new relationships and discovering the satisfaction that comes with producing high-quality, valued work and advice. Examples of how you will add value to the team include l Supporting your team with tax-related tasks and projects; assisting with the preparation and review of individual, partnership and/or nonprofit tax returns; conducting tax research and maintain tax records; contributing to the development of tax planning strategies. Responsibilities - Assist in preparing and reviewing tax returns of pass-through entities, trusts, non-profit, gift tax, and individuals - Conduct tax research and analysis - Assist in the workpaper and income tax return preparation of various state jurisdictions - Maintain tax records and documentation - Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for tax compliance and reporting - Assist in identifying tax planning opportunities - Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations - Participate in tax planning and strategy discussions - Provide support in tax-related projects and assignments - Assist in the preparation and review of 1099 compliance Who we are looking for Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with a 3.5 major GPA or higher - Master's degree in accounting, Tax, Business Administration or Juris Doctor preferred - CPA certification or CPA exam eligible preferred - 1-4 years' experience in tax accounting or related field preferred - Previous experience in tax accounting or related field preferred - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Attention to detail and accuracy - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Experience with tax preparation and tax research software such as Thompson Reuters, CCH, BNA Income Tax Planner, and Bloomberg All offers of employment are contingent on your successful completion (where permitted by state law) of a confidentiality agreement, background check, and credit check. In addition, you will need to provide proper identification verifying your eligibility to work in the United States on your first day of work. Benefits Information* Compensation Range : $90,000-$113,000K Benefits Information: We offer a comprehensive and generous benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k)-retirement plan and paid time off.
