We have an exciting opportunity for a Utility Field Service Worker who will be reporting to the NJ Central Division Area Supervisor. This position is based out of the Hamilton, New Jersey Aqua Office. The Utility Field Service Worker I performs a variety of duties pertaining to the production, treatment, and distribution of potable water, customer service activities in the field, including meter installations, inspections, changeouts, and customer complaints investigation, and meter reading services. Essential Duties: * Operates and performs preventive maintenance on treatment systems, company equipment, facilities and stations as directed. * Receive various types of deliveries as needed. * Assists with other tasks or projects as assigned Qualifications: * High school graduate or equivalent required * One or more years of experience in water/wastewater field preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: *Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and basic tablet/computers skills *Excellent written and verbal communications skills; communicate effectively (clearly, concisely and professionally) with internal customers *Strong customer service skills *Ability to work well under pressure *Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment *A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered multi-tasking environment * Proficient math skills, computer knowledge preferred, and mechanical aptitude Working Conditions: Note: This is a union position with a rate of pay of $29.53. Employees hired or entering the bargaining unit will receive initially $3.00 per hour less than the applicable classification wage rate for all positions held or worked. This reduced starting wage shall be increased by $1.00 per hour each year until the employee is paid the full wage rate.
