Production Team Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and hands-onProduction Team Leaderto join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of daily and weekly production plans by removing obstacles, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement. You will lead a team of technicians, support engineering initiatives, and play a key role in maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Support & Issue Resolution:




    • Address and resolve material and labor shortages.
    • Ensure daily and weekly production plans are met without disruption.



Performance Monitoring & Improvement:




    • Track and analyze key metrics to identify and remove production barriers.
    • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to enhance process capability.



Engineering & NPI Support:




    • Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives.
    • Schedule and support Engineering Test (ET) builds and manage material transactions.



ERP & Data Management:




    • Maintain accurate job and transaction data in the ERP system.
    • Delegate and oversee miscellaneous receipts and issue resolution.



Team Leadership & Development:




    • Supervise technicians, conduct regular 1:1s and team meetings.
    • Manage timekeeping and PTO approvals via ADP.
    • Lead performance reviews and support the PDR cycle.



Training & Cross-Training:




    • Ensure team members are trained and cross-trained effectively.
    • Identify skill gaps and schedule necessary training.



Maintenance Coordination:




    • Ensure planned maintenance is executed.
    • Report and escalate safety or production-impacting maintenance issues.



Production Planning & Execution:




    • Translate production plans into actionable team goals.
    • Ensure all tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.



Continuous Improvement:




    • Promote best practices and a culture of quality.
    • Support departmental excellence and teamwork.




Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Relevant prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience supervising teams and managing production schedules.



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Fine motor skills for assembly and machinery operation.
  • Use of PPE as required.
  • Clear verbal communication and ability to read technical documents.



Salary:

In accordance with California law, the expected annual base salary range for this position is between $55,000 - $80,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
