Primary Purpose

You will partner with the Albertsons Sr. Packaging Design Manager and Category Product Managers to manage and help bring projects to life. You are responsible for leading and project managing the process from design approval through adaptation, artwork & prepress. Partners with cross-functional team including Product Management, Regulatory, Strategic and Adaptive agency to ensure efficient workflow between the creative and executional phases in the delivery of Owned branded packaging on time, on budget and in line with the quality standards.

Client Services Account Director with oversight of Albertsons Director of Brand Design & Packaging

General Overview

Your business brain is balanced with your creative brain. You pose a strong acumen for project management but with creative knowledge and understanding of the technical print process. You manage the day-to-day work between the Packaging Design team, cross-functional team and SGS internal teams. You will champion the client's brand and ensure work is completed on time and budget.

Responsibilities



  1. Gets immersed in exciting, fast-paced, Albertson's Own Brand culture.
  2. Manages - design adaptation through prepress
  3. Leads Project Management from concept approval to print delivery to ensure project is completed on time and on budget
  4. Leads the project execution from design lock to print production to ensure integrity of design is maintained
  5. Responsible for ensuring Albertsons brand colors are reproduced with absolute accuracy regardless of materials through final sign-off of color prints or targets
  6. Facilitates artwork routing with cross-functional teams
  7. Coordinates artwork mechanicals/prepress with pre-press partners
  8. Ability to multi-task and problem-solve on a daily basis
  9. Lead projects, ensuring smooth project work flow in conjunction with all Team Members and

Education & Experience Requirements



  • 3-5+ years' experience in design or adaptation project management with deep experience in artwork and print production for packaging/POS, or 3-5+ years design adaptation and pre-press agency experience in project management. Ideally experience in both.
  • College degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Graphic Management Services or Design
  • Proficient using PC platform, (Excel, MS Office, Outlook, as well as web-based systems/asset management systems). Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of the creative process.
  • Understanding and can speak to technical print requirements
  • An eye for detail and exceptional standards for reproduction fidelity
  • Experience managing design projects inclusive of the pre-press and technical artwork
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and agency relationships.
  • In-depth experience managing packaging artwork projects from design approval through to print execution in CPG/FMCG or retail experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment and demonstrate resiliency
  • A collaborative approach to working within the team


Qualifications

Education Required

Bachelor's or better.

Experience Required

Proficient using PC platform, (Excel, MS Office, Outlook, as well as web-based systems/asset management systems). Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $85,000 USD - $100,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) as well as web-based systems/asset management systems. (required)
