POSITION SUMMARY:

Entry level to learn the knowledge, skills and abilities required to accomplish safe, efficient completion of tasks related to trailer maintenance and repair, while also delivering quality workmanship to ensure our customers will return to Trudell for all their trailer needs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Remove and replace damaged components
  • Electrical repair
  • Brake and axle repair or replacement.
  • Welding.
  • Maintain uncluttered work environment.
  • Follow safety policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot problems and come up with suitable repair solutions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding and crawl underneath trailers.
  • Ability to perform some overhead lifting when replacing side sheets and roof bow supports.
  • Ability to use both hands and arms when using high power hands tools, saws, grinder, drill, etc.
  • Ability to exert 51 to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Vision good enough to do bearing inspections and welding.
  • Owns or can obtain tools for use in trailer repair.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment


USD 16.20 - 24.28 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $16.20 - $24.28/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of 6.67 hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
