SUMMARY: The CNC Technician/Programmer provides technical support within the department for all CNC machine shop quality issues, tooling support, training of CNC operators, troubleshooting machine and program issues. Responsible for new and existing part development/programming and optimization. The ideal candidate will perform equipment setup, operations, equipment adjustments and minor preventive maintenance tasks to meet all standards for safety, quality and efficiency by demonstrating strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties may include but are not limited to:
Key team member on the scope, justification and installation of new equipment.

Critical Competencies: Team oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills. Proven ability to work with a sense of urgency and be results oriented. Ability to make decisions and take ownership to drive results. Individual must have the ability and willingness to train others. Candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints, and be able to apply that information to setup, program, and manufacture precision components. Tolerancing up to +/-.0002". Ability to know when to use/create additional fixturing for part manufacture. Education and Experience Requirements: High School Education or equivalent, required. Minimum of 5 years experience setting up and operating machines. Minimum 2 years programming CNC machines Mazak/Mazatrol experience a plus Certified Technical Training Cert. a plus Proficiency in operating CNC machines with experience in conversational programming, is a plus Physical Demand and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
