Your Job

Molex is seeking a Digital Marketing Director with deep expertise in the electronics industry and a strong command of the digital platforms that influence the customer journey-from part discovery to procurement. This individual will play a pivotal role in aligning Molex's digital strategy and data capabilities with the evolving needs of engineers, designers, procurement professionals, and distribution partners across the electronics ecosystem.

This is a highly strategic and influential role that requires both vision and execution. The ideal candidate combines technical acumen, a deep understanding of digital touchpoints in the connector space, and the persuasive leadership needed to inspire cross-functional teams toward innovation and customer-centric transformation.

What You Will Do

  • Lead Molex's digital engagement strategy across all third-party platforms relevant to the electronics and connector industry, including:
    • Distribution platforms (e.g., Digi-Key, Mouser, Avnet, TTI)
    • CAD software and model libraries (e.g., Altium, Ultra Librarian, TraceParts)
    • Data aggregators (e.g., Octopart, FindChips)
    • Quoting tools and procurement platforms
    • Complementary Manufacturers
  • Define and execute a roadmap that connects Molex's digital assets, data, and marketing strategies to customer needs at every stage: part discovery, design-in, prototyping, production revision, and purchasing.
  • Build strong partnerships with external platform providers to ensure Molex's data is optimized, accessible, and aligned with how customers search, specify, and buy.
  • Drive data alignment between Molex systems and third-party ecosystems to ensure consistent, high-quality digital representation of Molex products.
  • Support the creation of data products and visualizations that enable actionable analysis of digital ecosystem performance. Use insights to validate that digital marketing initiatives are driving desired outcomes-and recommend optimizations such as incremental advertising spend, co-op support, and strategic positioning.
  • Maintain and report key performance metrics to leadership, identifying critical needs, progress against goals, and opportunities to improve Molex's visibility and competitiveness across platforms (e.g., availability, pricing, delivery).
  • Advocate for the voice of the customer, translating journey insights into actionable internal strategies that enhance product visibility and usability across platforms.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, IT, and commercial teams to drive digital readiness and evolve how Molex supports modern engineering workflows.
  • Lead change management efforts, effectively communicating the "why" behind new initiatives and aligning teams around new tools, processes, and digital priorities.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging digital capabilities to keep Molex at the forefront of digital marketing innovation.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred; or related experience.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple external partners across diverse business models to identify mutual benefit, align on strategic goals, and drive shared growth.
  • Strong familiarity with the platforms that shape the electronics customer journey, including CAD/model libraries, data aggregators, and distribution environments.
  • Working knowledge of product data structures and how they integrate across systems and platforms.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated experience in building and executing digital roadmaps tied to business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills, with a track record of influencing across departments and leading through change.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability, organization, and follow-through.
  • Experience in the connector or interconnect space is highly preferred.
