In this role you will:



  • Analyze, design, and develop custom applications:

    • Develop in all phases of the software development life cycle: design, code, debug, document, implement, maintain, and test.
    • Analyze user requirements. Apply systems and programming design skills to fully understand the extent of problems and how they impact the user's business.
    • Design, develop, and implement custom software solutions as defined by the assigned project.
    • Write unit tests for code to ensure quality and performance.
    • Analyze requirements for software maintenance and make changes as necessary.


  • Contribute to the architectural design of GFC's software infrastructure.
  • Assist the team with monitoring the health and performance of databases and applications.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continual and repeatable deployment processes.
  • Review existing GFC development standards to ensure that all custom software and documentation meets these guidelines.
  • Evaluate alternate, innovative solutions to business problems including the use of commercially available and Open Source software and libraries.
  • Work with the users and team members to resolve any issues relating to custom or 3rd party applications.
  • Collaborate with Information Systems team members to identify and implement solutions that add efficiencies to the team's current processes.
  • Write documentation for the Information Systems knowledge base.
  • Engage in continuing education to stay current with the latest technologies and industry standards.
  • Maintain and assure confidentiality of data.
  • Maintain and assure compliance with all corporate and IS policies and procedures.
  • Work in a rotation with Information Systems Team Members to provide after-hours support for the company's mission critical systems.
  • Project management:

    • Keep the appropriate people informed of the status of the assigned projects (i.e. user Project Manager, Business Analyst, Applications Supervisor, etc.)
    • Provide time estimates for project deliverables
    • Report actual times to complete projects and tasks




You should have:



  • Bachelor's degree in CS / MIS (or other related field) or 4 years of related experience with a high school diploma/equivalent.
  • 3+ years Application Development expereince.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming languages, including VB.NET and C#.
  • Experience with Web APIs, including WCF and ASP.NET Web API.
  • Working technical knowledge of IIS.
  • Working technical knowledge of ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC framework.
  • Working technical knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, including AngularJS.
  • Experience with version control software, including Subversion and Git.
  • Experience with T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiar with system analysis and design, such as the SOLID design principals.
  • Experience with Azure Devops, or a similar organizational SDLC process software.
  • Able to support off hours processing.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with Crystal Reports.
  • Experience with SSIS and SSRS.
  • Experience with .NET Core platform.
  • Experience with SQL Server Database Administration.
