Senior Vice President - Scientific and Technical Services

SWCA Environmental Consultants
United States, Arizona, Phoenix
20 East Thomas Road (Show on map)
May 23, 2025
About the opportunity

Make your mark at the intersection of science, strategy, and leadership.

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a bold, collaborative, and future-focused Senior Vice President of Scientific and Technical Services to lead the next era of technical excellence, innovation, and integration across our SWCA. This is more than a leadership role - it's an opportunity to shape the future of applied environmental science and consulting while advancing our mission to protect what matters most.

Our Science and Technical Services Team includes approximately 45 professionals leading practice areas in biology, water, planning, cultural resources, quality, technical writing, field services, project delivery, and smanagement consulting. These leaders provide strategic guidance, technical depth, and mentorship - forming the scientific core of SWCA and supporting transformative, cross-functional initiatives across the company.

As SVP, you will champion technical integrity, develop and amplify talent, and translate our company-wide strategic goals into action - building further resilience and innovation into our DNA. You will work across disciplines, project teams, and geographies to avoid silos, cultivate shared success, and elevate both the client experience and our scientific reputation.

We are looking for a leader who is grounded in science but driven by possibility - someone who is not afraid to challenge convention, inspire curiosity, and build toward what's next.

This is a full-time, regular (with benefits), salaried position. It can be based in any SWCA office (in a hybrid work environment) or distributed.

Please include a Letter of Interest with your resume.

Application Deadline: This position will close on June 9, 2025.

  • Champion Client Success: Cultivate trusted partnerships with our most valued clients, ensuring we deliver outstanding work and anticipate future needs.
  • Build the Future while being Agile: Be a visionary voice on the Senior Leadership Team, shaping companywide initiatives and steering SWCA into what's next - not just what's now - allowing the company to maintain agility in the face of uncertainty.
