Description

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Solutions Architect to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will work with sales colleagues in solutioning, designing and estimating large-scale, complex, and specialized facilities in verticals such as Utilities, Data Centers, Petro Chem or highly regulated environments. As an Electronic and Physical Security Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in pursuing and creating accurate, high-value designs, scopes of work and proposals that meet the unique demands of enterprise-level and complex projects.

What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"



  • Work with sales colleagues and customers in creating solutions, designs, scopes of work and specifications for large-scale complex projects.
  • Participate in site surveys as needed to understand site conditions and site challenges in order to design complex, multi-technology electronic and physical security solutions.
  • Lead or participate in pre-bid meetings, and technical discussions to fully assess project needs and unique requirements.
  • Prepare detailed, comprehensive cost estimates for large, complex and potentially multi-site or country security projects.
  • Lead security design development for projects where we are serving as the security design consultant.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and RFPs to develop highly accurate and competitive proposals.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and operations to align estimates with project scope, technical requirements, and timelines.
  • Work with Partners to identify new and best technology to apply to solutions and designs.
  • Source and manage pricing from specialized vendors, subcontractors, and partners to ensure compliance with project standards and regulations.
  • Identify project risks, special handling requirements, and potential solutions to address regulatory and customer expectations.
  • Lead the estimating process for strategic, mission-critical, or global opportunities.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to clarify project scope and value proposition.
  • Work with installation teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of estimates.
  • Apply industry knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Track project costs, potential risks, and margins to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Ensure estimates align with company pricing strategies and market competitiveness.
  • Prepare and present accurate proposals to internal and external customers.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.



What You'll Need



  • Expertise in access control, CCTV, and physical security systems, with a focus on large-scale, complex and highly regulated facilities and projects.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for specialized environments, such as NERC, CIP, UL2050, AWWA, federal/defense projects, and / or global standards.
  • Proficiency in design and estimating tools, Microsoft Office, and project collaboration software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • High sense of ownership and integrity - Self-motivated and managed.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience: 7-9 years of experience in design consulting, system design, system commissioning, estimating, project management and/or installation for complex and large-scale electronic physical security projects.
