Inova Schar Cancer Clinic is seeking a dedicated Oncology Ambulatory Care Pharmacist to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday - Friday; shift varies| Sign-on Bonus & relocation assistance available.

Oncology Ambulatory Care Pharmacist Job Responsibilities:



  • Completes and documents inspections of all assigned medication storage areas monthly.
  • Identifies and replaces outdated/unusable drugs as documented on unit inspection forms.
  • Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel.
  • Verifies the daily activities of Pharmacy Technicians. Participates in the performance appraisal of Pharmacy Support personnel.
  • Organizes and prioritizes work assignments. Ensures Pharmacy services are provided in a timely manner as evidenced by lack of complaints.


Oncology Ambulatory Care Pharmacist Additional Requirements:



  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday shift vary.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Pharm.D. preferred.
  • Experience: Licensed pharmacist with at least three (3) years of clinical oncology experience preferred or PGY2 oncology residency.
  • Licensure: Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire. Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist or certification obtained with 3 years of employment.
