Overview

Now hiring a Wound Treatment Assistant!

Presbyterian Healthcare is hiring a Wound Treatment Assistant. This position provides primary support to the provider by proactively anticipating the provider needs, preparing the patient for the visit using established patient preparation guidelines, maintaining efficient patient flow, and assisting the provider with treatments and procedures. Performs procedures with completed and documented competency within the PHS policy and under the supervision of a provider. Provides support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, arriving patients for appointments, transcribing order, editing referrals, and linking referrals, HAR building and prior authorizations. Performs activities to maintain a clean, stocked, safe, and well-organized patient care environment. Provides in-basket support with the EMR. This position reports to the Clinic Manager.

Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior Healthcare experience within Wound Care preferred
  • Successful completion of Clinical Certified Medical Assistant program within the first 12 months of hire
  • Successful completion of Wound Treatment Associate certificate within 12 months of hire
    BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required
  • Maintains current certifications in required emergency response trainings (i.e. BLS)
  • Completes all Organizational and Department-Specific competency training/requirements within specified timeframe
  • Maintains current knowledge base in skin/wound care and departmental policies
