This position reports to

Maintenance Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Guide and instruct mechanics in proper procedures involving equipment repair, movement and troubleshooting.
Evaluate each job making certain materials and components are available to complete the project.
Develop purchase requisitions, contact vendors, research and order components and materials.
Check all incoming shipments for the department. Verify amounts on packing slips and placed in stock.
Interface with supervisor, engineering personnel, Tool Room personnel and outside vendors on special projects as needed.
Check with production supervisors as to machine status and priorities.
Review work orders and assign to the maintenance personnel.
Provide supervisor with feedback and updates on issues concerning department personnel, equipment, scheduling, etc.
Handle hazardous waste form work area to accumulation site.
Observe company safety rules and practices
Perform as assigned other similar or related duties.

Qualifications for the role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4th Skill level
  • 5-10 years' experience in manufacturing environment. Knowledgeable in mechanical & electrical schematics and microprocessor controlled equipment. PCL/Electronic experience a plus.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
