GENERAL SUMMARY

Under direction of the Project Manager or the Director, develops and implements a comprehensive program to collect data and effectively report information from these data to a variety of customers. The customers and end users of this support service include physicians, other clinical service and hospital leaders, physician groups, the Board of Trustees, System leadership and external oversight/regulatory bodies. This position generates reports and supports comparative data base maintenance regarding strategic and operational performance for performance review, operational effectiveness, and improvement efforts.

Template/access expert who analyzes healthcare scheduling data and drives changes that improve patient access. This person will be our access optimization specialist - taking complex Epic data and turning it into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.

Key Skills:

  • Healthcare scheduling experience - Epic preferred, understanding of templates, utilization, patient access metrics
  • Analytical mindset - can look at data trends and say "here's specifically what needs to change and why"
  • Business acumen - understands how scheduling decisions impact patient experience and provider efficiency
  • Communication skills - can present to VPs and practice managers with clear recommendations
  • Healthcare operations background - ideally ambulatory/outpatient experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing dashboards to identify optimization opportunities
  • Review template change requests and recommend alternatives when they conflict with access best practices
  • Provide specific guidance like "Cardiology needs to reduce admin blocks and standardize visit durations"
  • Ensure all changes align with our established access principles and standards
  • Lead proactive optimization initiatives rather than just reactive reporting

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree with a health care, science, or business focus is required.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a healthcare or business setting is required.
  • 2-3 years is preferred. Expert in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
  • Experience in the use of a structured query language in a relational database is required
  • Experience in the use of Corporate HFHS Data Stores is a plus. Experience in the use of a programming language is also a plus.
