The Salvation Army's Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Division is located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The division is home to 26 Worship and Community Centers (Corps), 67 service extension units, a camp, as well as multiple homeless shelters, thrift stores and food pantries. Service extension units are branches of The Salvation Army in communities where Corps are not located but service is provided by committees of volunteers. As a whole, our organization is made up of thousands of officers, soldiers, adherents, employees, volunteers and other individuals all working together to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people, as well as working to meet the physical needs of those less fortunate. The Divisional Statistician processes all required statistical information and reporting for all The Salvation Army units in the Wisconsin & Upper Michigan Division.

About the role:



  • Works directly with corps and DHQ department personnel to provide necessary guidance and assistance in maintaining membership rolls and accurate statistical information.
  • Obtains and transmits all statistic-related information in an accurate and timely manner in order to accommodate Territorial deadlines and expectations.
  • Analyzes each reporting unit's statistical information to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Assists all reporting units with establishing their customized reporting structure, providing clear guidance with appropriate statistical definitions and interpretations.
  • Provides ongoing assistance and training to corps personnel on the statistical program.
  • Provides statistical reports periodically as requested from various departments at DHQ.
  • Maintain accurate Soldier Rolls, classifications, and Local Officer Bonds.
  • Monitors reports to ensure Advisory Board and Corps Council meetings are occurring and that meeting minutes are submitted to DHQ in a timely manner. Maintains files for these minutes.
  • Maintains positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with local reporting units, co-workers and supervisors. This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of others, respect of others (person and property); and professional and appropriate communication to and about all others.


Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Two years experience within The Salvation Army to develop knowledge of programming and expectations relevant to statistical reporting.
