In this pivotal onsite managerial role, you'll lead the engineering team, tasked with driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your focus will be on optimizing process efficiencies, upholding high standards of quality, and ensuring comprehensive support. Your leadership will be instrumental in supporting the facility's operations and delivering superior products.

Our Team

The engineering team at Phillips-Medisize in Menomonie, WI, is integral to the success of our operations. As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will provide direct leadership to the engineering department. Your role is essential in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and proactive strategies. You will manage a dedicated team responsible for all plant engineering activities, ensuring the efficient production of our medical devices. Collaboration and innovation will drive your efforts to enhance process efficiencies, maintain quality, and ensure compliance, thereby contributing significantly to our mission of excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Leadership and Management of a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Ensure Safety is the teams top priority.
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to ensure changes are properly reviewed, documented and approved.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness. Implement Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Production escalation support for a 24/7 operation
  • Oversee the planning and execution of sustaining manufacturing projects, ensuring timely completion and budget targets are met.
  • Work closely with the customer to address technical issues and to ensure customer satisfaction. Act as point of contact for escalating engineering related issues or improvement projects

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years engineering and/or supervisory/leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems.
  • Experience with automated processes and equipment
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Six Sigma or Lean certification.
  • Experience with SAP; including preventative maintenance systems
  • Experience in Medical Device or regulated industry
