SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Security Manager, who will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a NISPOM-compliant open storage area supporting classified analytics and data processing operations. This individual ensures all facility, security, information security, and operations requirements are met in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), company policies, and customer contracts. The role includes oversight of physical security, lab readiness, infrastructure coordination, information systems, and operational support for secure programs.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

    Closed Area Facility Operations & Oversight:
  • Manage daily operations of the NISPOM Open Storage Area, ensuring readiness, cleanliness, and functionality to support classified analytics missions.
  • Oversee physical infrastructure, including HVAC, power, backup systems, and physical access controls.
  • Coordinate with corporate facilities and IT teams for preventive maintenance, upgrades, and emergency repairs.
  1. Security Compliance, Accreditation, & Industrial Security Support:
  • Ensure facility operations comply with NISPOM, DoD manuals (e.g., 5220.22-M), and customer security requirements.
  • Work closely with the Facility Security Officer (FSO), Information System Security Manager (ISSM), and IT to support security audits, inspections, and accreditations (e.g., Open Storage approval, RMF/ATO packages).
  • Maintain proper storage, handling, and destruction procedures for classified materials in the lab environment.
  1. Access Control & Visitor Management:
  • Manage access control systems, user logs, and secure entry procedures in accordance with contract and NISP requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Security Team to verify clearance levels and maintain access rosters and badges.
  • Escort uncleared personnel and ensure compliance with two-person integrity and other safeguard requirements.
  1. Operational Lab Support:
  • Provide direct operational support to teams using the secure lab space, including coordinating scheduling, system availability, and resolving environmental or infrastructure issues.
  • Ensure lab equipment and classified IT systems are properly maintained and operated under approved configurations.
  1. Process Development & Documentation:
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and facility guides related to secure area operations, incident response, and emergency planning.
  • Support internal audits, DCSA inspections, and corporate compliance reviews.
  1. Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between facilities, security, IT, program managers, and technical staff.
  • Participate in classified project readiness reviews and facility planning efforts to align infrastructure and security capabilities with program growth.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years managing secure or classified contractor facilities under NISP.
  • Strong working knowledge of NISPOM, DAAPM, and DoD physical security standards.
  • Experience supporting classified programs in analytics, data science, or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with Closed Area/SCIF infrastructure standards and accreditation processes.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
