Position Summary
The Department of Spanish and Portuguese is looking for an enthusiastic student who can provide a variety of administrative roles to support faculty, staff and graduate students. This position is only for the summer 2025. Duties and Responsibilities: Greeting visitors, students, staff & faculty, receiving and routing telephone calls with a high degree of professionalism. Picking-up and sorting mail & packages, making occasional on-campus deliveries Performing a routine clerical, data entry and/or word processing work as assigned Ordering, stocking, and distributing office supplies, and placing work order tickets Assisting with copying of materials Assisting with filing, shredding, and scanning Scheduling conference room calendars Assisting with departmental projects and events Assisting with department equipment inventory Assisting with department social media and website Attending NSOs (New Student Orientations) sessions Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Must be able to work independently Word processing and/or data entry skills Excellent customer service skills Organizational/Records maintenance skills and attention to detail Knowledge with Spanish and Portuguese degrees Must be available during regular business hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese
