Job Summary:
The administrative associate director position is for the Bock Laboratories, which is the physical home for two Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR) Research Centers: the Institute for Molecular Virology (IMV) and the Center for Quantitative Cell Imaging (CQCI). This administrator role is responsible for the planning and direction for multiple administrative operations to advance goals and objectives of both centers and the programs they contain. This also includes administration oversight of two large Ph.D. programs: Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) and Biophysics (BGDP) and one T32 training grant. Responsibilities: Assists with the planning and direction for multiple administrative operations of a division or large business unit(s) of the institution to advance program goals and objectives.

Education: Required Qualifications: At least five years of professional experience with a record of significant accomplishments of management in a diverse work environment is required. Excellent communication skills are required, including clear and concise writing. Knowledge of UW-Madison policies and procedures is highly desirable.
