Manager 2, Security Enforcement

Scope of Position Manages daily Security Operations, provides oversight of administrative functions for the department and ensures that they are carried out expeditiously and within guidelines of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Departmental policies. The incumbent reports directly to the Associate Director of Security.

Position Summary Assists in the management and supervision of the public entry screening locations. Provides leadership and ensures that contractor and full-time personnel follow the policies and procedures set forth by the Medical Center and the department. Follows up on all incidents that occur at the public entry screening locations to make sure the department is proactive in limiting liability issues for the Medical Center. Manages the training of all contractor and full time staff who work at the public entry screening locations. Acts as the departmental expert for metal detectors. Responsible for quality assurance auditing for each location and each employee. Manages the data analysis for all public entry screening locations. Completes patient safety reporting for incidents. Completes performance evaluations for direct reports. Acts as the primary liaison with the contracted staff. Ensures the contract is followed and maintains accountability for the budget.
