Description

Work in partnership with developers, testers, and program managers to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services offered to Information Services (IS), non-IS, and clinical caregivers. Advise on caregiver, business, and technical requirements. Use expertise to design components of a service architecture, and operability scenarios that meet compliance standards and KPIs, such as quality, cost, and caregiver expectation. Advise on and incorporate the team's standards and best practices into all designs to create high-performance, manageable services. Contribute to the design of a service delivery system by evaluating and recommending options for tools, hardware, and processes that enable the team to create a complete system that supports service delivery and meets KPIs. Perform advanced troubleshooting and engineer solutions for complex service issues to restore service with minimal disruption to the caregiver and business. Actively take part in disaster recovery drills.

Option to telecommute fulltime from any state where Providence has offices (AK, WA, OR, CA, NM, TX, MT).

Applicants must have:



  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology Management, or related.
  • 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer
  • 3 years of experience with the following:
  • Automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes;
  • N-tier solutions;
  • Resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually);
  • Influencing software engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations;
  • Leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions; and
  • Problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems using root cause analysis.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept an applicant with a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.
