As a leader on the Optum Cozeva Operations Team, you will be part of UnitedHealth Group's mission of helping people live healthier lives. As a leader and manager on this team, it will be your role to develop, implement, and monitor the operational processes and structure for a team of market advisors supporting 25+ Optum CDOs leveraging Cozeva as a quality tool of choice for value based quality program to improve quality of care provided to our members and impact STARs rating. In this role, Manager Business Systems Analyst will be responsible as HEDIS SME to drive Supplemental data submissions efforts from Cozeva for multi-payer Optum quality program.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Accountability for the business operational functions of a 25+ Optum Care Delivery Organizations ongoing support for utilization and adoption of Cozeva as a quality tool of choice for various quality workflow focused on assessment, education and support of quality program for patients of Optum care delivery organizations (CDO)
  • Lead new development and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures inclusive of process flows, issues logs, auditing programs
  • Provide direction, development and support to supervisor level associates and/or Cozeva Operations Business Systems Analyst/Process consultant supporting 25+ Optum CDOs live on Cozeva and being implemented.
  • Supplemental data submission reporting for multiple payers, multiple LOB via Cozeva including but not limited to DAV program, Cozeva bridge, Cozeva HPDE and ACO submission
  • Build effective metrics and reporting dashboards, in partnership with data scientist team and project management team to track and deliver on KPI in alignment with CQE national strategies
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, opportunities and risks for business partners and facilitate solutioning of these issues in collaboration with Optum CDP team and Cozeva (Vendor)
  • Lead planning, coordination and project management for the implementation of new Cozeva enhancements, special projects related to health plan submissions including section 5 roadmap development and DAV program
  • Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience in a concise and professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with quality trainers and educators to build educational and training programs to promote excellent customer service for Optum CDOs utilizing Cozeva
  • Lead and develop team of business systems analyst/process consultant with culture of continuous improvement and proactive communication to support Optum CDO and multiple stakeholders in matrix organization
  • Creation and maintenance of team SOPs, process diagrams, CDO data flow diagrams related to Cozeva inbound and outbound data for data governance
  • Performing analysis and serving as business liaisons to understand refine business requirements for Cozeva enhancements, CDP enhancements and other process improvements

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of business, finance, or operations management experience
  • Management experience, either through direct reporting relationships or through projects
  • Expertise with HEDIS and STARs technical specifications and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel (pivot tables, complex file links)
  • Demonstrated process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced skills in Access
  • Proven solid written and verbal presentation skills - comfortable communicating with senior leaders
  • Proven excellent documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
