OVERVIEW:

The Recovery Housing program is a two year transitional housing program for adults who have completed residential drug treatment. The progam offers comprehensive case management, recovery support services, career development and cultivates a transformative community based on the principles of recovery, accountability and service. The Manager reports to the Recovery Housing Director and supports administrative and program operations of the 75-bed facility. The goal of the program is to improve long-term recovery outcomes, support lifelong success, and help participants transition to financial stability, permanent housing, and lasting self-sufficiency.

*Please note that role is not set to begin until June 2025*

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manage administrative and program operations in collaboration with the Program Director.
  • Support the Director's implementation of the program's Policy and Operations Manual (POM), and ensure all staff adhere to the POM.
  • Ensure program administration aligns with fiscal compliance by managing budgeting, invoicing, and accurate reporting.
  • Manage the program's data collection and reporting efforts, ensuring accurate documentation, tracking, and analysis to support program evaluation.
  • Supervise staff, create and monitor schedules, conduct annual performance evaluations, and provide coaching and support.
  • Oversee the intake, assessment, and service planning process for all participants, ensuring individual service plans are tailored to each participant's needs and are followed through with consistent case management and support services.
  • In partnership with The Way Out's leadership team, partner in creating client success stories.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures of The Salvation Army and the State of California.
  • Provide regular written and oral reports as needed to the Director and other Salvation Army leadership as requested.
  • Other related duties as required.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Minimum of three years of experience providing social services working to marginalized populations, specifically adults in recovery, reentry, or drug treatment (Required)
  • Experience in social services management, preferably in shelter or recovery-oriented environment serving adults with behavioral health challenges, and/or with populations with significant barriers to self-sufficiency (Preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • CA Driver's license (Required)
  • Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)
  • First Aid and CPR certification (within first seven days of employment - company provided)
  • As required, Tuberculosis clearance (within first fourteen days of employment, company provided)


        SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



        • Ability to multi-task
        • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and accurate
        • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
        • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule with some evenings and weekends


        PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



        • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (Usually file boxes)

        Bachelors of Counseling Psychology (preferred)
        Bachelors of Social Work (preferred)
        Bachelors (preferred)
        High School or Equivalent (required)
        Experience
        3 years: Experience providing social services working to marginalized populations, specifically adults in recovery, reentry, or drug treatment (required)
        Licenses & Certifications
        Substance Abuse Counselor (preferred)
        TB cleared certificate (preferred)
        Driver's License (preferred)
