Wieland is hiring a Account Assistant. The Account Assistant will be responsible for supporting documentation and communication with internal and external parties. A successful candidate will be detail oriented and maintain a sense of urgency while providing industry leading customer service. The Account Assistant provides sales acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently. This role is located in Granite City, IL and will be fully on-site. While this role is local, occasional travel to other locations will be required (15-25% travel).

Base Salary Range: $49,953 - $74,929

May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle.

Account Assistant Responsibilities:

Support Account Managers to execute commercial strategies that meet and exceed revenue goals.
• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships (email, phone, virtual meetings) with customers, suppliers, and other teams within the Wieland network through effective communication and problem-solving. Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
• Manage and enter purchase orders, sales contracts, invoices, and other commercial data into the commercial database.
• Handle administrative responsibilities, including general accounting, AP/AR responsibilities, order processing, documentation, and record-keeping. Ensure accurate and timely entry of sales-related information into the company's systems.
• Match purchase requisitions/orders with invoices and forward to accounts payable for payment processing, as needed.
• Track status and follow up on all invoice inquires to ensure suppliers are paid timely.

Account Assistant Qualifications:

• High school education required; College education is preferred.
• Proven experience in sales, with a focus on achieving targets through effective sales strategies.
• Strong cold calling skills and the ability to independently generate and pursue leads.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• 3+ years of administrative experience necessary
• Confident and professional communicator
• Strong MS Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong mathematical and analytical background
