Maintenance - Building

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for performing various maintenance tasks across facility. Job duties may require overtime in addition to the standard 40-hour work week.

RESPONSIBILITIES& ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform construction work such as (stick build walls, sheetrock, finish work, painting, laying tiles and remodel office areas when needed.
• Requires basic trouble shooting skills.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment and building systems from blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specifications.
• Upkeep landscapingat assigned facilities.
• Snow removal on company entrances and parking lot as needed (may require coming in early at 4 a.m. if overnight snow removal can't be cleared before employees arrive).
• Must have a valid drivers license to operate a company vehicle.
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Possess good mechanical knowledge and abilities to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Knowledge of shop tools, equipment and maintenance practices.
• Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work with limited direction and supervision, while demonstrating good judgment and strict confidence.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds from floor to waist and waist to shoulder height.
• Able to work in static positions for more than 15 minutes and work in tight spaces in and around machinery.
• May be required to lift, carry or exert items or objects of reasonable weight.
• May be required to perform duties beyond standard business hours.
• Exposure to noise, oil, grease, and chemicals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in an industrial maintenance setting is preferred.
• Able to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Proficient use of measuring instruments.
