Summary/Objective

Oversees the Receiving Clerks and Material Handlers - Receiving, the unloading and loading of trucks, ensures all material movements are direct to location for use. Responsible for put-away staging area housekeeping, performs other warehouse duties to support success of perpetual inventory, 5S and all safety policies by following established operating procedures.

Essential Functions

  1. Handles day to day concerns from incoming trucks and put-away staging area.
  2. Facilitates the return of vendor material through processing NCR and return purchase orders
  3. Participates in yearly team members reviews and evaluations.
  4. Participates in Physical Inventory with Materials Manager as required.
  5. Participates in any disciplinary actions with Receiving Clerks and Material Handler-Receiving.
  6. Supports all inspection for incoming trucks for accuracy, quantity and quality, follows up on documentation of damage, and reports freight claims with Purchasing.
  7. Ensures Warehouse is receiving the correct product/quantities and putting away parts to locations in a timely manner.
  8. Visually monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate low levels to Purchasing, and Material Managers as necessary.
  9. Complete inventory transactions to receive and issue inventory as required.
  10. Properly identify and locate all parts according to established procedures.
  11. Continuous education for self to develop leadership skills and best practices to grow teams.
  12. Adhere, Practice, and Encourage LCI Core Values and Leadership qualities.
  13. Ensure compliance of all Divisional and Plant Safety policies and PPE procedures.
  14. Ensure compliance of all Divisional and Plant requirements concerning assigned equipment.

Competencies

  1. The ability to operate a forklift safely is optional.
  2. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other team members of the organization.
  3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  4. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  5. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of inventory and manufacturing software; Microsoft, D365, and understand the Mobile Device and scanner.

Supervisory Responsibility

Oversees the Receiving PIT drivers, Crane operator, and Material Handlers in the materials department.

Physical Demands
While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active - while performing this job the employee is regularly standing walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee works around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and conveyer roller lines. The employee will work in outside weather conditions in all seasons. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

In addition, the employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties.

This position requires Personal Protective Equipment such as work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut resistant sleeves, and seasonal gear which will be provided.

Additional items required but not included are steel toed shoes or boots with metatarsal guards.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays may be mandatory.

Travel

There is no travel required for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school degree or GED.
  2. LCI issued Forklift license required.
  3. 1 to 3 years on the job training experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. 1 or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
