Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Designer with expertise in display design to join our dynamic team. As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative and visually appealing display structures that effectively showcase our products for a variety of brands. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in structural design, particularly within the display design industry.

What You'll Do...

  • Develop creative and practical structural design concepts for displays, ensuring they align with the brand's image and marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, project management, product development, and manufacturing, to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet customer expectations.
  • Conduct thorough research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices in display design, incorporating relevant elements into your work.
  • Utilize design software (ArtiosCAD) and tools to create detailed 2D and 3D renderings, prototypes, and mock-ups of display structures for client presentations and internal review.
  • Generate comprehensive technical specifications and assembly instructions for manufacturing and assembly teams, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design intent.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and material assessments to determine the most suitable materials and construction techniques for each display project.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source materials and components, ensuring quality standards are met within budgetary constraints.
  • Work closely with the production team to oversee the manufacturing process, providing guidance and support to ensure the accurate execution of design specifications.
  • Perform regular quality control checks on display prototypes and finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and functional requirements.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including design files, sketches, specifications, and relevant correspondence.

What You'll Bring...

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial design, product design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural design, with a focus on retail display design.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as ArtiosCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes related to display design.
  • Excellent visual and spatial awareness, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Ability to interpret and apply brand guidelines, marketing briefs, and client requirements into effective design solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of prototyping techniques and experience in creating accurate physical models.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous display design projects and demonstrating a range of design skills and creativity.
