We are hiring a Branch Manager to join our team!

What You'll Do

The Branch Manager is responsible for managing allaspects of the branch functions in sales, administration and operations while exhibiting efficiency in budgeting, inventory control, profit maximization and customer satisfaction. The Branch Manager plays a critical role in creating a positive branch culture while coaching and developing branch associates. In addition, the Branch Manager develops and implements market growth opportunities.

You will:

Sales & Customer Service




  • Develops and executes a sales plan to increase market share, grow sales and increase gross margins.





  • Directs the sales activities of the branch.





  • Develops and maintains good customer relations to promote World Electric as the distributor of choice.





  • Continuously acquires and develops product and technical knowledge to assist sales team and customers with proper selection and use of products.





  • Trains/coaches associates on appropriate delivery of customer service and extending branch resources to promote quality distributor services to our customers.





  • Oversees decision making and resolution of customer complaints and involves vendors or other internal departments as needed for prompt handling and follow up.





  • Makes joint calls with sales team, to existing or prospective customers to assist in building relationships and gaining new leads.




Marketing and Vendor Relationships




  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with vendors and other business partners.





  • Promotes and supports company-wide product promotions by displaying or demonstrating products, promoting uses and saleable features to customers.





  • Maintains a counter business with clean, organized display areas to enhance presentation and promotion of company products.




Management & Leadership




  • Successfully operates branch within budget forecast, meeting or exceeding profitability goals, reaching inventory turns and controlling overhead expenses.





  • Represents the company's business interests at all times, in a positive and professional manner, by conducting business transactions and communications in a fair and ethical manner.





  • Complies with all Company policies, and supports corporate department procedures, such as Credit, Pricing, Accounting, Operations and HR.





  • Assigns or delegates job duties necessary to run smooth and efficient branch operations and facility.





  • Responsible for productivity, quality of work and morale of staff.





  • Responsible for internal/external communications within the branch,





  • Set the example of a positive attitude with associates and peers.





  • Create an atmosphere that represents a passion for customer service.





  • Seeks assistance, guidance or decision-making from upper management, when necessary.





  • Interviews and hires to fill open or new positions, following company policies and procedures and complying with legal requirements.





  • Develops associates, by using coaching skills and creating individual development plans.




Operations




  • Creates and maintains a safe working environment for employees and complies with company and legal safety rules and regulations.





  • Responsible for safeguarding assets of branch, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Equipment & Cash.





What You'll Bring

Education and/or Experience:




  • 5+ years of experience in sales and business management





  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, systems, and regulations





  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.





Requirements:




  • Extensive knowledge of the distribution industry with a minimum of 4 years of industry related experience.





  • Proven track record as a leader who solves problems and resolves conflicts to achieve a positive outcome.





  • Strong planning and analytical skills.





  • Excellent organizational and communication skills





  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams





  • Able to work independently and in a team environment





  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment





  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and ERP systems. Experience with Eclipse ERP a plus.





  • Ability to travel locally and regionally





  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary business information
