Description

The Town of Needham is seeking passionate individuals to fill the part-time position of CPR Instructor within the Health & Human Services Department. To be considered, you must be a certified (active and in good standing) Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Instructor with the American Heart Association (AHA).

This position is ideal for those looking to use their facilitation expertise to teach others valuable CPR skills.

Position: Part-Time, non-exempt; roughly 8-10 hours/month
Schedule: Classes typically held afternoons and early evenings

Duties and Responsibilities

These duties are a general summary and not all inclusive:

  • Instruct small groups of up to six participants in Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Facilitate learning in group setting while providing individual instruction, as needed
  • Ensure all follow up reporting is complete to enable participants to receive CPR certification
  • As needed, instruct participants on infant CPR

Requirements

  • Certified CPR Instructor with the American Heart Association (AHA), active and in good standing
  • Comfortable teaching others in a small group setting
  • Ability to facilitate a fun, interactive learning environment for a variety of groups
  • Availability to teach at least two classes per month, during evenings or weekends
