Job Summary

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Data and Analytics to join our team of professionals.

Duties:

  • Design and conduct statistical analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of GME programs, identify areas for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making by hospital and university leadership.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and other data visualization tools to monitor key GME performance metrics and provide real-time insights to the Office of GME, program directors, and administrators.
  • Establish and oversee data governance policies, data quality assurance processes, and reporting standards to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of GME data.
  • Collaborate with hospital and university stakeholders to identify strategic data needs, define key performance indicators, and develop analytics solutions that drive operational and educational improvements.
  • Provide statistical consulting and analytics support for institutional accreditation activities, program reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the development of the Annual Institutional Review, presenting key findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide training and guidance on statistical methods, data interpretation, and evidence-based decision-making to GME leaders, faculty, and staff.
  • Stay current with advances in healthcare analytics, academic administration, and graduate medical education; introduce new technologies and best practices to continuously improve the GME analytics program.
  • Provides training in the residency management system (RMS) for both faculty and trainees. Create and maintain annual RMS rollover processes.
  • Collaborate with Baptist Health's and FIU's finance teams to compile internal data for the Intern and Resident Information System (IRIS) Report. Ensure that site locations, codes, trainee records, and related details are accurate and available on the RMS for IRIS reports.
  • Create and deploy program, recruitment, and graduate surveys; analyze responses and recommends improvements
  • Develop comparison data of evaluations and milestones for GMEC presentation
  • Analyze completed aggregate evaluations for concerns and share with program directors and Clinical Competency Committees (CCC)
  • Support program administrators in developing and maintaining trainee and alumni tracking, alumni surveys and analytics, and working on establishing an alumni network.
  • Partner with IT to implement data management infrastructure, automate reporting processes, and ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
  • Provide statistical consulting and analytics support for institutional accreditation activities, program reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and administer surveys to assess faculty and resident satisfaction and engagement.
  • Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Departmental Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years of appropriate experience or a Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience.
