Summary

The Process Engineer will act as a technical resource for processing areas of the plant. They will support a fast-paced manufacturing site through cross-functional collaboration. This position will be responsible for ensuring timely technical support of daily manufacturing operations in their area of focus, including troubleshooting, and root cause investigations. In addition, the Process Engineer will identify areas for improvement and implement changes within the processing areas to optimize systems and reduce production waste.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily manufacturing performance in various processing areas.
  • Identify production anomalies and determine the root cause.
  • Support the operations team with troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Maintain documentation library in coordination with the drafting team (Equipment Layouts, Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, Equipment Manuals, etc.).
  • Identify areas for process improvements to increase yield and efficiency, and reduce production downtime, utility usage, and waste.
  • Assist with transitioning capital projects to the production plant team.
  • Initiate and review changes within the plant through a Management of Change process, and work with the internal Automation team in executing those changes.
  • Support the quality team in Root Cause Analysis investigations.
  • Support R&D with trials for new products or changes in formulation / process.
  • Collaborate with various manufacturing site departments and equipment suppliers to solve problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering preferred, other engineering degrees considered.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Knowledge in sizing pumps, piping, and other general dairy processing equipment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience in process data trending and analysis. SEEQ knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various levels, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity and a passion to learn new things and solve problems.

Compensation Range:$77,000.00-$115,000.00, plus bonus.
