As an experienced Mechanical Engineer II for Reactor Vessels Internals, you will provide support for reactor vessel internals design and analysis.

You will report to the Manager of Reactor Vessel Internals Component Design. This is a hybrid position based at Westinghouse Global Headquarters in Cranberry Woods, PA. Please note that relocation assistance is not included with this position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical support for assigned work performed for reactor vessel internals design and analysis.
  • Analytical calculations and evaluations using a variety of engineering tools and methods.
  • Develop documentation for calculations and analyses.
  • Develop design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware; this includes manufacturing drawings, functional and design specifications and qualification reports.
  • Work with technical leads, project managers, and customers to coordinate activities for assigned work scope.
  • Occasionally travel to customer and manufacturing vendor sites to provide on-site support, deliver presentations, and aid in issue resolution.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a mechanical field like aeronautics, nuclear or special machines
  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or recognized equivalent
  • Technical writing and analysis expertise
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis including nonlinear analysis
  • Ability to interpret design documents including drawings and calculation summaries
  • Conceptual design and creating design drawings
  • Understand basic manufacturing like machining, assembly, and welding



Annually Paid:We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.
