Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Shift: 1st shift (including on-call, after-hours, holidays, and weekends as needed)

About the Role

As a Service Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting Hobart's commercial clients by installing, maintaining, and repairing basic mechanical food equipment. You'll perform preventive maintenance, assist with troubleshooting, and ensure customer satisfaction through safe, high-quality service delivery. This position requires fundamental mechanical and electrical aptitude with some troubleshooting experience.

Key Responsibilities



  • Install and service basic mechanical food equipment
  • Diagnose and repair equipment under contract or time-and-material terms
  • Perform and document routine preventative maintenance
  • Follow safety procedures outlined in Hobart Service manuals
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment, tools, and customer service practices
  • Properly care for company assets, including tools, inventory, and vehicle
  • Promote customer satisfaction and assist with sales or service leads

Qualifications

Required:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of mechanical/electrical experience


Preferred:



  • Associate degree or vocational certificate
  • Experience with food equipment repair or installation
  • Proficiency with mechanical tools, service manuals, and basic diagnostics
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office and Windows applications
